Dengue is a fatal disease transmitted by mosquito, which is also called as break-bone fever. The common symptoms of dengue are fever, headache, vomiting, muscle pain, body rashes, nose and mouth bleeding, etc. Researchers have found that papaya leaf juice is effective in curing dengue. Patients suffering from dengue will usually have low WBCs and platelets count (which are responsible for antibody production). Papaya leaf juice possesses anti-malarial and anti-cancerous properties. It is also rich in minerals and vitamins, such as A, C and E. Papaya leaf is effective in treating dengue because it contains papain and chymopapain enzyme, which enormously increase the platelet count within few hours in patients. Patients suffering from dengue fever can take two tablespoons of raw papaya leaf juice twice a day for a week; this will cure dengue within a period of one week. Only the fresh papaya leaf juice is preferable for effective treatment. Do not boil or wash the leaves with hot water as it reduces the leaves' medicinal properties. Papaya leaves also possess other medicinal properties; they are used in treating heartburn, indigestion, stomach disorders, kidney stones, hypertension, malnutrition, etc.
