Legumes

Legumes
Legumes in our daily diet help in maintaining healthy blood sugar level, which in turn allows the pancreas to function properly and prevent us from type 2 diabetes. Over consumption of starch eventually depletes pancreas, causing it to no longer produce insulin. Eating legumes in the place of refined carbohydrates prevents type 2 diabetes. Legumes are also considered to be a natural pack of proteins, calcium and anti-oxidants. Legumes also contain high dietary fibres, vitamins and minerals. Dietary fibres in them assist in detoxification and give clear skin.
