Ursolic acid

Ursolic acid
Ursolic acid, a waxy substance found in the apple peel increases muscle and brown fat. This supplement helps in burning more calories and decreasing obesity levels, pre-diabetes and fatty liver disease. It was believed that, only infants have brown fat but adults too contain a meagre quantity of this substance particularly in neck and between shoulder blades. Increased levels of brown fat are connected with lower levels of blood sugar and blood lipid suggesting that brown fat may help in preventing obesity and diabetes. A natural substance (ursolic acid) present in the apple peel has the ability to provide partial protection from obesity and its harmful effects, such as diabetes and fatty liver disease. Ursolic acid also increases skeletal muscles.
