CLAIRE - a new form of electron microscope

The electron microscopy is being innovatively designed for analysing the soft matters. The microscope is using cathodoluminescence, which is being activated by resonant energy transfer. The microscope can be used for incredible resolution of the non-invasive nanoscale imaging of the soft matter like biomolecules ranging from liquids to foams. The technique is being shortly named as "CLAIRE" by the researchers.
