Programmed bacteriophages to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria

Researchers have recently introduced a new promising tool, which uses bacteriophages for delivering a programmable DNA nuclease. This DNA can eliminate the genes that cause resistance to antibiotics and protect from lethal phages.
