Plants’ nitrogen absorption restricted with increased carbon dioxide in air

University of Gothenberg’s researchers have recently found that, the increased level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere reduces the plants’ ability to absorb nitrogen, which in turn restricts their growth. Further, the researched rice and wheat crops with reduced nitrogen were found to contain reduced protein level.
