Genes responsible for cataract formation identified

Cataract, which is the leading cause of blindness is due to the deficiency of two genes namely Mafg and Mafk, says the recent findings. These genes were identified by the scientists of University of Delaware with the use of integrated Systems Tool for Eye Gene Discovery. This discovery could help in delaying or preventing cataract in future.
