Tomatoes trigger gout

Scientists have recently found that tomatoes can trigger gout, a form of painful arthritis in the same level as seafood, red meat, alcohol or sweetened drinks. They have found that, tomatoes could alter uric acid levels, and a higher level of uric acid in the blood is the major cause underlying gout.
