Cortisol reduces addictive cravings
A recent study has revealed that, heroin addiction can be reduced by cortisol, which is a stress hormone used usually to reduce the brain's ability to remember. Addiction-related memory among patients has found to be diminished with cortisol administration. Further study could help in gaining information if cortisol can help patients reduce their heroin dosage or remain abstinent from it for longer.
