Donated liposuction stem cells in the treatment of wounds
TiGenix in Belgium has recently developed a therapy that utilises stem cells derived from donated liposuction tissue for treating the wounds caused by Crohn’s disease. Since these stem cells contain extremely low levels of proteins that trigger immune reactions, they posed no adverse side effects on patients during trial phase.
