Batteries from mushrooms

Batteries from mushrooms
Researchers at the University of California have recently created a Li-ion battery anode from the environment-friendly and inexpensive Portabella mushrooms. Cell phones with batteries made of this type of anode could have an increase in run time even after many uses. These carbon anodes by being green and sustainable can function as better alternative to graphite-based anodes.
