Individual based extra mural research funding is being offered for the scientists in India by the Science and Engineering Research Board. The board has been developed by the Department of Science and Technology of Government of India under the SERB Act 2008. Funding opportunities are being provided in 20 different sectors of Science and Engineering, including Organic, Inorganic, Physical & Green chemistry, Atmospheric & Earth Sciences, Himalayan Glaciology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Materials, Mining & Minerals Engineering, Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering & Robotics, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Animal Sciences, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Microbiology, Health Sciences, Plant Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science, Lasers, Optics, Atomic & Molecular Physics, Plasma, High Energy, Nuclear Physics, Astronomy & Astrophysics, and Nonlinear Dynamics. The applications are invited round the year.
