Targeted drug delivery to cancerous cells using liquid metal
Nanotechnology is an emerging field in the medical sector that is trying to give a better solution to all the dreadful diseases to find and treat them effectively. One of the approaches in nanotechnology is a well-developed approach to deliver the drug to a targeted place with a minimal dosage and fewer side effects. Recently, the researchers have modified this technology to deliver the drug especially towards dreadful cancer which is considered to be incurable disease according to layman’s views but curable if diagnosed at an early stage with a targeted treatment towards the cancerous cells. The scientists have developed a drug delivery technique using eco-friendly biodegradable liquid metal to target the active drug molecule towards tumour cells. This finding and improvisation to existing techniques pave scope to cure dreadful diseases in a better way.
