Nanotechnological approach to treat lung carcinoma
Among various syndromes and diseases, cancer has become a huge threat to human beings. The mortality rate of cancer in India is becoming an alarming factor. According to the statistics, cancer is the second most common disease in India that is responsible for million of deaths every year. Researchers have taken efforts to treat cancer without the need of painful therapy. Recently, researchers have identified nanocarriers-based delivery of chemotherapeutics to the lung tissues. It was found to be viable and more effective in comparison to conventional chemotherapy with lesser side effects. It is the first level of study; hence, the next level of study involving toxicity analysis and pre-clinical studies is required to take this finding to the industrial level to treat lung cancer effectively.
